My Experience with the CACKBIRD Portable 60% Wired Mechanical Keyboard

Price

The CACKBIRD Portable 60% Wired Mechanical Keyboard is only $22.99, which is definitely a cut above the average membrane keyboard, but still very affordable. It’s a very low price for a mechanical keyboard, in particular.

Construction

The keyboard is very cheaply constructed. The plastic feels very thin and flimsy compared to other keyboards at this price point. It really does feel like I could break this keyboard in half over my knee. If you need a keyboard that can withstand a beating, this might not be for you.

Keycaps

I don’t like OEM keycaps but other than that I have no complaints about the keycaps. Their construction is more or less the same as the rest of the frame, flimsy and thin.

Keyboard Mechanics

The switches on the keyboard are soldered to the board and cannot be removed. They are generic blue switches and the sound of the keyboard is pretty crisp and satisfying for the price.

Problems I Encountered When Using the CACKBIRD Portable 60% Wired Mechanical Keyboard

I did not encounter any major problems when using this keyboard. All of the keys worked well and activated just fine on my Linux system.
