i have to say that i personally love redragon products. i’ve used redragon keyboards and i’ve never had a genuinely bad experience with them, bar things that were purely my own fault. so i was excited to try out this new redragon keyboard that was pretty cheap. let’s dive right in

my experience with the
redragon k552p
price
this keyboard is on the pricier end of the budget spectrum, but it’s still very cheap compared to comparable mechanical keyboards. for the price, it’s a very nice keyboard, which is more or less in line with the redragon brand promise.
construction
for the price, the keyboard is amazingly nice in construction. it feels very heavy and sturdy. the plastic casing is thick and feels like it could really take a beating, which is good because i hit my keys very hard.
keycaps
i don’t like oem keycaps but when trying out keyboards, you don’t really get a choice. however, the keycaps also feel very nicely constructed considering the price of the keyboard. they feel very nice under the fingers and don’t feel flimsy or weak at all.
keyboard mechanics
they keyboard uses redragon’s proprietary red switches, which are linear. however, i noticed that this keyboard was much louder than other redragon keyboards i’ve used in the past.
problems i had with the redragon k552p
the hardwired cable did not fit nicely underneath my desk organizer. so i was forced to run the cable over my desk unideally. but that’s a very small problem when the keyboard itself was easily a 10/10.
