Plan To Eat: Full Review

I’m always struggling with having enough energy and time to cook. The number of days where all I eat is cereal is kind of embarrassing. So, I took it upon myself to seek out a more equitable way to plan my meals. I downloaded PlanToEat, a meal-planning and grocery list app. Let’s see how I liked it.

My Experience with PlanToEat

Collecting Recipes

I actually have a google drive file filled with recipes. When you’re a vegan, you have to keep a recipe book on hand since the number of vegan ready-made foods is much lower. PlanToEat lets me tuck away recipes that I’m not ready to buy groceries for and keep them for a rainy day when I’m ready to shop for them.

Having new recipes in the back of my pocket has been extra helpful in maintaining a diet with a lot of variety without overstretching my budget or violating my ethical principles.

Cook Mode

The ability to save not just the recipe’s ingredients but also the steps and scroll through them actively while cooking has made cooking much smoother and more fun for me.

Shopping Mode

I use Listonic (review coming soon!) to make my shopping list since it allows my boyfriend to add things he wants to it. But using PlanToEat to aggregate the recipes I plan to cook and list out their ingredients has made grocery shopping much easier.

Is the PlanToEat Subscription Worth It?

YES! PlanToEat’s subscription is extremely affordable and the value of the app cannot be overstated in my opinion. For just $6 a month or $50 per year, you can really elevate your meal prepping experience.
