The final goals of my life might seem kind of strange to the outsider. From the outside, most people see me as a tech enthusiast and writer. Those designations give me a certain air that most people pick up on. They expect me to be cool but kind of nerdy, knowledgeable about technology, and interested in electronics. However, they also assume that I’m a full-on city slicker and hate the environment and want to burn down the Amazon. Well, maybe not that last one, but I’ve definitely met people that assume I’m all for destroying the environment to improve technololgy.
However, I’m not like that at all. My dream is actually to own a homestead where I can work from home and build a small farm with my polycule. It might be surprising to learn, but I’m actually a vegan (I might have mentioned this elsewhere but for those who are new to the page, that’s the cold, hard truth.) So, I would really enjoy working the land and having the fruits of my labour on my table at night. My polycule and I have been working hard to make this future a reality for us and hopefully soon we’ll reach that point.
I want to emphasise that while I do want to own farm, I don’t want that to be my full-time job. I still want to work with computers, probably remotely, ideally. After all, we will still need money to fund the farm in perpetuity. It wouldn’t be possible to maintain our equipment and what not without someone in the polycule having a job. So while I would like to work on the farm, I also want to work with computers. I want to have the best of both worlds, if I can.
