excited for the upcoming weeks ahead

so coming ahead in the coming weeks, i have some plans. one big plan is to start really making headway on my content plan. to do that, i think i’ll actually start doing work on my laptop. it’s not the most fun and frankly i feel a bit scammed by this laptop (it was a gift but, like, i feel scammed on the giver’s behalf…) because it’s brand new and occasionally blue screens while opening google chrome.

however, once i can get a few of the apps up and running, it runs… not smoothly, but it runs. it’s just a matter of getting it through the startup process that’s the trouble.

so one thing i will be doing this week, hopefully, is playing through needy streamer overload. it will be one of the first games i review for the new blog plan. i’ve played a little bit of it, but it’s been fun so far! i’m really loving the game mechanics. they’re quite simple, not much more complicated than any other life management sim, but they feel compelling.

i’m also really into needy streamer overload‘s art style. I love the pixelated look of the sprites and the animations are so charming. i love that the animations don’t feel too high-quality. they’re a little bit jumpy and the frames are a little bit visible and it makes the game feel really retro even though it’s a pretty recent game.

anyway, i don’t want to give away too much of my thoughts, both because this is just a first impression and also because it’s important to keep some of these thoughts close to the chest for the final review.
